Memories of Our Son

We wish to share a few memories of our first born son, Jay Brian. Though his time on this earth has not been long, he impacted many lives. He was loved very much by family and friends.
When he left to be with God, he took a piece of our hearts along. Our grieving for him will never stop until we meet again at the Gates of Heaven and see that smiling face once again. We love and miss you so much, Brian.

Our son "Jay Brian" was always a hard worker from the time of his first job as a paperboy. He was a friendly and loving person and enjoyed life. Although there were stressful times, Brian always did his best to please everyone.
He was active in his church and his wife and he had just purchased their first home and 7 months earlier Brian had moved on to a new job at UPS.
He really enjoyed his new job and it was less stressful for him. His previous manager job kept him from attending church and being with his family due to long hours.

Brian enjoyed football. He was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan. As a child he played midget football for the St. Anthony’s Raiders,No.66 in picture of team. He also played football in Junior High School and he was a good "center".
Brian, as he wanted to be called after becoming a Christian, new life, new name, loved his music; contemporary Christian music, and loved going to the “Creation Festivals & wearing Christian tee shirts to show his faith. He was so looking forward to going camping at Creation festival. Brian,Tricia, Ian, DJ, nephew Skippy and I, Mom, we all went together. I remember when Brian said to me "There is no better vacation than this! Praising God and listening to Christian music!".

Brian had a heart attack 3 years earlier,
and had been under a doctors care.He had angioplasty done to open the artery that had closed and caused the attack.
We never thought it would take his life at such a young age.

Everything was going so well for him. He seemed so healthy. He was always so strong. After his heart attack,I remember Brian saying if God was willing , he wanted to be there to watch his young son Josiah(picture below right),grow up.
Josiah is now 3 years old,and still asks for his daddy. They were so close. He says" I know that my daddy is in Heaven now with Jesus. Bring him back, I want to see him."

Brian, his wife, Tricia and the children had just came home from camping at "Creation 2000" festival four days earlier.
The angels came for Brian between 10:30 pm and 12:00 pm July 5th. 2000. Brian had just talked to his wife on the phone at 10:30 and they were discussing what kind of dog to buy for the 3 boys.He went to bed as he had to get up early to go to his new job of 7 months at UPS. When his wife came home from her job at 12:00 pm, he had already gone to be with our Lord.

Loving Memories

Your gentle face and patient smile
with sadness we recall,

You had a kindly word for each
and died beloved by all.

The voice is mute and stilled the heart
that loved us well and true,

Ah, bitter was the trial to part
from one so loved as you.

You are not forgotten our dear son,
nor will you ever be,

As long as life and memory last,
we will remember thee.

We miss you now, our hearts are sore,
As time goes by we miss you more.

Your loving smile, your gentle face,
no one can fill your vacant place.

Till we meet again.
love,Mom and Dad
